Axiom
Engineers(sm) has been involved in engineering successful
Industrial Cogeneration plants since the passage of
PURPA in 1979. We avoided small-scale cogeneration until
the Capstone Microturbine became commercially
available because of the poor reliability and the high
maintenance needs of small size reciprocating engine-based
cogeneration. Axiom Engineers(sm) has invested thousands
of staff hours in understanding the technical, economical,
and regulatory issues involved in cogeneration.
Our engineers have designed cogeneration projects and
central plants for a wide variety of industries and
applications. Our experience includes food plants, landfill
gas, swimming pools, hotels, resorts, sewage plants,
wineries, absorption and adsorption chilling, hospitals,
and off-grid power.
Axiom Engineers(sm) has been involved with the beneficial
use of landfill gas for over 10 years. One of our projects
produces over 2 megawatts of electricity and heats several
buildings and domestic hot water. We have engineered
central plants for public and private clients, which
incorporate thermal storage for off peak energy use.
