The Monterey County Courthouse complex in downtown Salinas is a mix of 1930 era and 1960 era buildings holding county offices, courtrooms, and support facilities. As needs have changed, remodels have been done, including jury assembly areas, prisoner holding cells, office modifications, computer facilities, replacement of boilers, chilled water plants, air handlers, and controls. The buildings are a mix of high-pressure double duct HVAC, steam radiators with split system cooling, and air handlers with DX cooling.
